A friend of mine posted on Instagram about how people don't understand her particular path as a Manifesting Generator. As a Manifestor, I resonate. People generally don't know what to think of me at all, but the people who get me REALLY get me.
In reply to her, I left this comment. And I think this can apply to all Human Design Types in different ways:
You have your own way of weaving through the marketplace of life.
Some people adore the simplicity and predictability of supermarket aisles. Others are all about the hustle and bustle of a market full of independent shops, or a farmers' market or craft market filled with stalls; or the sights, labyrinthine exploration, and deals in a Marrakech souk.
They're all great in different ways. But someone who wants the fastest possible self-checkout of milk and cereal won't see the point of the souk or a Cotswolds market town.
Generators are struggling with what to respond to, and getting frustrated and reactive because everything is in flux and it's hard to see what to respond to and what to ignore. Bringing increasing amounts of energy to the same old drama is frustrating their need to build wonderful things that help everyone. People fail to understand that Generators need clear ideas to respond to now. Their desire to move together and get things done is being abused by people in power and they're frustrated by the results they're getting by responding to this energy.
Projectors are struggling with a lack of invitations and praise, because people are too busy or distracted to send out invites, and the Projector need for applause doesn't land well when people are dealing with their own sense of invisibility due to algorithmic obscurity and online drama. They are getting bitter about not being recognised, or expected to work as hard as Generators, and are fighting the desire to go on a revenge posting spree about it. People fail to see that Projectors can help guide people through this if they are invited to the table and praised for their contributions.
Manifesting Generators are overworked and in a whirl, because the noise Generators are dealing with as a whole is hard for them to make an efficient path through. Being pulled in so many directions at once makes it difficult to see everything clearly and help others to do the same. People fail to see that Mani Gens are under pressure to make sense of a world that currently isn't making much sense, and that their rollercoaster energy and multi-task overcommitment are dragging them down. They need rest and support.
Manifestors are running out of patience with people not listening to us because they're so distracted, confused, and caught up in the noise. We often CAN see a clear path through things, but if nobody listens when we inform them of it, what's the point screaming into the void? Yes, we're angry about it, but the anger is less about us not getting our own way and more about the stagnant pond of goo that everyone's wading around in and drinking, while we have so much sparkling fresh new water to bring you all if you'd just check out of the noise and into the signal for five seconds! But if we say this, we're bossy and we get cancelled. People fail to understand that Manifestors bring in the new energy and solutions. We need to be heard so that the next chapter is reached, otherwise the world will keep reading the same chapters. We don't want to say "I told you so" but if nobody listens, that's the loop we get stuck in, because we literally did.
Reflectors are disappointed in everyone right now. They're feeling all of the above, and it's tasting like a buffet of bad choices to many of them. It can be difficult for Reflectors to define who they are at the best of times, and these aren't the best of times for most people, so they're feeling all of that as part of who they are. People fail to understand that Reflectors are picking up all their emotional trash and then being blamed for it, because they mirror us all. If you don't like what a Reflector shows you about yourself, don't blame the mirror. We need to make space to hear the reflections of these rare people.
